FAQs

What does admission include?

Admission is $40.  You get unlimited beer sampling of over 150 different beers, a commemorative 16oz glass and entertainment.  Tickets are limited in quantity and may sell out.

I heard rumors about a VIP ticket. Are they true?

Sponsored by River Dog Outpost.  All VIPs will receive early NOON entry, a swag bag, access to rare beers, comfortable seating and private toilets!

Do you have to be 21 to get in? What if you’re a designated driver?

Yes. Whether you’re drinking or not, you have to be at least 21 years of age. Don’t forget to bring your valid ID with you- it’s required for admission. And if you’re a designated driver, don’t forget that your ticket is only $10.

Is the event indoor or outdoor?

Heritage Park is outdoors, with one small, covered pavilion.

Will food be available to purchase?

Of course! Vendors will be on site selling yummy food.

How does the designated driver ticket work?

The cost of the designated driver ticket is $10. You can purchase it in advance or at the gate. You get a special wristband, and free non-alcoholic beverages.

Where do I buy tickets?

All tickets will be available on our website starting Monday, September 16th.

Where do I park?

There is no public parking behind the levee, so you should park in the downtown parking deck (or other downtown location) and walk to Bridgepoint Plaza and over the pedestrian bridge to the park entrance.  All other entrances will be gated for this event.

If I wait to buy my ticket at the gate on the day of the event, what forms of payment will be accepted?

Cash is preferred, but cards will also be accepted at the gate. However, technology isn’t always a friend, so to be safe, swing by the ATM on the way.  You’ll also want cash for on-site food, commemorative t-shirts, and more!

Are tickets refundable? What if it rains?

All tickets are nonrefundable. The Beer Fest is a fundraiser for Rome Area Council for the Arts. Any money obtained from advance ticket sales will be considered a donation to RACA. We will continue with the event, rain or shine.

Can I volunteer to work the event?

We love volunteers!  Just e-mail us at director@romearts.org.

I work for a company that wants to be a sponsor. How do we get involved?

That’s great news!  Just e-mail us at director@romearts.org.

Is the beer list on the website complete?

No, it is not. While we make every effort to update it as soon as new information becomes available to us, some of the beers are seasonal and availability becomes an issue. The finalized beer list will be posted a week prior to the event.

How many samples can I have?

Samples are unlimited! However, keep in mind this is a sampling event. The glasses will have a 4oz. pour line and volunteers are required by law to keep the samplings at that level.

I always love the volunteer t-shirts. Can I buy one this year?

Why, yes, you can! T-shirts and other event memorabilia will be available for purchase at the event. Bring some extra dough so you can get one!

Can I bring my dog, cat, hamster, snake, fish, etc?

Unfortunately, one of the festival rules includes that animals/pets are not permitted on festival grounds.

What about my small child?

Absolutely NO-ONE under the age of 21 can be inside festival grounds. This includes babies and small children.

Can I pass out flyers about my favorite political candidate?

Nope. Sorry. Solicitation of any kind is strictly prohibited. But we’re glad you’re engaging in politics! Go vote!

When does pouring stop?

Pouring will stop when we run out of beer or at the end of the event, which is 5:00pm.
