Home Brew Competition
The Rome Beer Festival is hosting the 1st Annual Mellow Mushroom Home Brew Competition!
Entry Guidelines & Rules:
Registration packets must include the following:
1. Completed Registration Form: Mellow Mushroom Home Brew Competition Registration Form
2. Two 12oz bottles of the brew
3. Entry fee: $15 donation to Rome Area Council for the Arts (checks or cash accepted)
*Please package all items in one bag.
*Applicants can submit up to 3 different brews. Each brew requires a separate registration packet.*
*Please note bottles and registration materials will not be returned to applicants.*
Timeframe & Drop Off:
Entries need to be delivered to Mellow Mushroom, located at 238 Broad Street in downtown Rome. This can be done daily between Monday, September 2nd and Friday September 6th between the hours of 11:00am and 7:00pm.
This year’s competition is limited to 50 different brews. Entries will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis.
Entries will be divided into 2 categories: Ales & Lagers.
A winner from each category will be determined and awarded a $250 RACA grant to assist with production costs for future brews.
The winners will also have the opportunity to feature their winning brews at the 2014 7th Annual Rome Beer Festival on Saturday, September 13, 2014.
Winners will be determined the week prior to this year’s festival and will be announced at the 6th Annual Rome Beer Festival on Saturday, September 14, 2013.
*Competition officials reserve the right to combine categories based on number of entries.*
